Walgreens Trip 1/30/11 #1...61% OFF!

Walgreens Trip 1/30/11...Total Cost: $10.55 + tax (61% OFF)
+ received a $2.00 catalina coupon for Kleenex

I made a quick Walgreens Trip this morning...mostly because of the great Cottonelle Toilet Paper Deal they have going this week.  I've saved more at Walgreens on several occasions (usually in the 75%-95% range)...but, I'm still pretty happy about this trip (with a 61% savings).  Toilet paper seems to be a tricky one to get the price down on.  I hope to find some even better deals on it in the future.  Has anyone else found ways to get great deals on TP?

I did this trip in two transactions:

Transaction #1:
1-Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue 12 large rolls $5.00
+ use $1.00/1 - Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue 12 large rolls, 167 sheets ea – February Coupon Booklet
+ use $0.50/1 – Cottonelle, 4pk+ – (bricks.coupons.com)
or + use $0.50/1 – Cottonelle Toilet Paper, 4 pack – (cottonelle.com)
or + use $0.50/2 or (1) for 12 pk or larger Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue, any 4 packs (SS 1/23/11)
= $3.50 each

1-Arnicare Pain Relief Gel 2.6 oz $5.99 (fyi--the shelf was not yet marked at this price...but I had the checker do a price check and it did ring up at $5.99)
~Buy 1, Receive $5.99 Register Reward, Limit 1
+ use  $2.00/1 – Arnicare gel, 2.6 oz or cream, 2.5 oz, pdf – (arnicare.com)
= FREE!, with register reward. update:  use the coupon available above to make this a $2.00 moneymaker!

TOTAL Spent: $9.49 + tax + received $6 RR for use in next transaction (and received a "$2.00 off any one kleenex tissue facial package" catalina coupon for future use) I wonder if I received this Kleenex catalina because of the Arnicare Pain Relief Gel purchase...because I didn't receive on with the Cottonelle purchase in Transaction #2.  Has anyone else received the $2.00 Kleenex catalina?  What did you purchase when you received it?
Total SAVED: $5.50 (not including register reward & catalina coupon received)

  1. What a fabulous deal! You have a lot more patience that me, I have lost my patience with Walgreens, and it sure has to be a great deal to drag me in, as the customer service around here is ridiculous.

  2. I've had pretty good luck with Walgreens in this area. I've heard that CVS and Rite Aid have less complicated systems for couponers...but I don't have either of those close by...so glad Walgreens is working out (so far).
