How LOW can we GO???
Well, it's been about 9 months since I've started this new way of shopping: strategic shopping, couponing, stockpiling, etc. At the start, I instantly saved about 50% OFF our usual grocery bill....and I was thrilled! As time has gone on, our grocery bill has continued to fall :-)...
Currently, for our family of five, I spend about $100/week on groceries. By "groceries", I mean basically anything you could purchase at a grocery store: food, toilet paper, kleenex, shampoo, razors, laundry & cleaning supplies, etc. I've still been building up our stockpile at this $ amount. Now that we're becoming a bit more more "stocked up", & as I'm becoming more skilled at this new way of shopping, I can be a little more picky about which deals I decide to take. I hope to see this $ amount continue to fall...
How LOW can we GO??? I think my next major goal will be to get our grocery budget down to $50/week ($200/month). There are definitely others who have a much lower grocery budget, but $200/month is my new personal goal. This probably won't happen right away...but it sure would be great to get there!
I'd love to hear what kind of savings you've been seeing so far!
What are your grocery budget goals?
