ALDI Trip 4/14/11...$12.00!

ALDI Trip 4/14/11...$12.00!
After my mom and I spent most of the afternoon at Woodman's, yesterday, we managed to make quick stops at Hy-Vee and ALDI, too! This week, I think my two favorite sale items at ALDI are the Garden Salad for $0.49 (usually $0.98), and the canteloupe for $0.99 each! :-)

Here's what I chose to buy yesterday:
1-Navel oranges, 4 lb. bag, $1.99 ~Sometimes these go down to $0.99 for the bag!...but, we really needed more fruit (and this is still the best price around)!
1-Split Top Wheat bread, loaf, $0.99
2-Fit & Active Caramel Rice Cakes, $1.29 each ~my kids love these for snacks!
1-Grapefruit, $0.29 each ~Oh, that's right!  I bought this for breakfast today...I better get on that!
1-Gala apples, 3 lb., $2.69 ($0.90/lb.) ~I'd like this to be lower, sometimes I see these at $1.89...but we really needed to stock back up on fruits.
1-Flour tortillas, $0.99 ~ALDI's regular price!
2-Cantaloupe, $0.99 each! ~this is about the lowest price I ever see!
1-Garden Salad, $0.49! ~this is 50% off ALDI's regular price!

Total: $12.00 to subtract from my $200/mo. grocery budget

  1. I love the Aldi oranges, they are so sweet and juicy, adn they do not come with a boatload of seeds...although I have planted some and now we have orange trees growing:)

I just wanted to let you know, that I sent you an email..

Have a great weekend, and thank you for linking up at The Aldi Spot.

  2. Thanks so much, JRFrugalMom!

I'm loving ALDI oranges, too! It sure would be great to be able to grow orange trees here in WI. Sounds nice! :-) I just tried an ALDI grapefruit for the first time this morning...it was so sweet there was no need to add any sugar! Yum!

Thanks for stopping by Madison Coupon Connection! ;-)
