Hy-Vee Deals Week of 4/24/11 - 4/30/11!

Hy-Vee does not seem to be having a special 1, 2 or 3 day sale this week.  So, the deals listed below should be available the entire week.  There are some pretty good deals here & there throughout the ad this week!

To learn more about shopping & saving at Hy-Vee, see: Store Tips & Policies: Grocery Stores

Here are the deals that stood out for me this week (4/24- 4/30, 2011):

Chilean Red Seedless Grapes, $0.99/lb.
= $0.99/lb.

Exotic Kiwi Fruit, $0.25 each
= $0.25 each!

Washington Jazz Apples, $0.99/lb.
= $0.99/lb.

General Grocery
Van Camp's Pork and Beans, 15 oz., $0.39 (limit 4)
= $0.39

Pepsi Products 2 Liter Bottle, selected varieties, $0.69
= $0.69

Heinz Tomato Ketchup, 40 oz., $1.99 each
+ use $2/1 Heinz printable coupon (no longer available for printing)

Bar-S Jumbo Franks, 16 oz., or Bologna, 12 oz., select varieties. $0.88
+ use $1/2 Bar-S Franks or Bologna, exp. 4-25-11 (RP 01/30/11) now expired
= $0.38 each when you buy two $0.88 each

Hy-Vee 100% Natural Fresh Chicken Leg Quarters, $0.77/lb.
= $0.77/lb.

Palermo's Pizza, primo thin, naturally rising, organic or hand tossed pizzas, select varieties, 14.75 to 32.25 oz., price varies
+ use in ad coupon to purchase two and receive one Pepsi Products 12 pack cans select varieties, FREE
+ use $1/2 Palermo's Pizza printable
= price varies, when you buy two! ~I think I'd consider this deal if the pizza is priced at $3.50 each or less.  I like to pay no more than $2.00 for a 12 pack of soda.  So, at $3.50 each pizza this would make your overall cost $7 (for two pizza's) - $1.00 pizza coupon, - $2.00 FREE soda coupon = $4.00 ($2.00/pizza) ~pretty decent price!

Midwest Country Fare 2X Laundry Detergent, select varieties 45.4 fl. oz., $1.88
= $1.88 ~I'm hoping an He variety is included in the sale

  1. Beware, hy-vee's palermo pizzas are past "best if used by" date..... :(
I bought 2, after I got home, noticed I was charged 5.99 for both when one was supposed to be on sale for 4.50.... and then when I took one out to thaw for tomorrow noticed that it had a "best if used by" date of March 2011....

  2. Thanks for the palermo's "best if used by" tip! Sorry that happened to you! It's truly amazing how often I find errors on my receipt (in any store). I always try to check my receipt in the parking lot before I leave the store (but it still occasionally slips my mind). Be sure to check back at customer service about the date & price! My guess is that they'll give you some sort of refund.
