Hy-Vee Trip 4/1/11...$30.56! |
Before my trip to ALDI this morning, I made a stop at nearby Hy-Vee. In addition to the items in the picture above, I purchased a 6 pack of Snapple Iced Tea (which will be FREE after rebate)! See how you could make the Snapple deal a moneymaker! :-)
For more deals available at Hy-Vee yet this week, see my earlier post: Hy-Vee Deals Week of 3/27/11 - 4/2/11!
For more information about shopping & saving at Hy-Vee, see: Store Tips & Policies: Grocery Stores
Here's what I chose to buy today:
15-Powerade, 32 oz. $1.00 each+ used in ad coupon to buy 10, get 5 more free
= $0.67 each ~I don't usually buy this type of product but these are for my 12 year old daughter to try out over the next week or so and use for her upcoming extremely intense 5-6 hour karate black belt test! Iya! :-)
10-Hy-Vee Pretzels, 15 oz., $0.99 each
= $0.99
2-Hy-Vee Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, $1.88/lb.
one at $2.91 + one at $3.25
= $6.16 ($1.88/lb.)
6-Kraft Shredded Cheese with a Touch of Philly, 8 oz., $1.25 each
+ used three $1/2 coupons
= $0.75 each
~ This week at Copps, you can get Kraft shredded cheese for $0.66/bag (after doubled coupon). However, I wasn't sure if the sale at Copps would apply to the "Touch of Philly" variety, so since I saw that it did apply at Hy-Vee, I chose to use those particular coupons at Hy-Vee, today. I'll be freezing most of these for later use.
~ Also, a word of caution, another nice shopper pointed out to me a section of this week's Hy-Vee ad that states you will receive a catalina coupon for $5 off your next shopping trip when you buy any 5 participating Kraft products. However, the wording in the ad is a little tricky & as it turns out, the word "participating" is important here. After she didn't receive the catalina coupon for some of her transactions, she checked with customer service and they said the catalina deal only applied to the items shown in the ad, not all Kraft products.
Total this Trip: $36.65 (including Snapple 6 pack) - $5.77 Snapple rebate = $30.88 to subtract from my $200/mo. grocery budget
