Walgreens Trip 4/20/11 $0.00 on groceries...85% OFF, overall!

Walgreens Trip 4/20/11 $0.00 on groceries...85% OFF, overall!

I went to Walgreens and Copps yesterday.  I had $12 in register rewards that will expire shortly after Easter & since I'm just not sure whether I'd make it back there by early next week, I wanted to use those up, which I did.  I was also hoping to grab the scotch tape deal they have going, but they were down to only two in my store.  So, I'll have to stop back or pass on that one (I forgot to grab a rain check for those so I'm thinking I'll stop back in to get one next time I drive by).

For these and more Walgreens deals, see my earlier post: Walgreens Deals Week of 4/17/11- 4/23/11!

Here's what I chose to buy yesterday:
1-Scott Naturals paper towels, 6 pack, $5.00
+ used $1.50/1 coupon
+ used $1/1 coupon from April coupon booklet
= $2.50 (or $0.42/roll)

2-Scott bathroom tissue, 4 rolls, $2.50
+ used in ad coupon to get sale price (limit 4)
+ used $1.50/1 coupon
= $1.00 each (or $0.25/roll)

3-Green Giant Canned Whole Corn, $0.49 each
+ used in ad coupon to get sale price
= $0.49 each

2-Stove Top Stuffing, $2.29 (B1G1FREE) ~I love to mix some of this in with ground beef or turkey when making burgers, meatballs, or meatloaf!
+ used two $0.50/1 coupons
= $1.29 for two (or $0.65 each)

2-Flip Flops, $5.99 each (B1G150% OFF)
~these are a gift so they're not pictured, just in case
~I was thinking the sign had said B1G1FREE...oops!, Oh well, they're still a 1/2 way decent deal so I'm ok with it.
= $4.49 each ~clothing budget

~used $12 in register rewards (three $4 RRs from a prior trip)

Total Spent: $5.28 ~clothing budget, $0.00 to subtract from my $200/mo. grocery budget
Total Saved: $30.60...85% OFF overall, 100% OFF on groceries after register rewards
