Copps Trip 5/14/11 $7.08...75% OFF!

Copps Trip 5/14/11 $7.08...75% OFF!
I stopped off at Copps & Kwik Trip today.  Unfortunately, I didn't get to Copps as early as I like to.  It was very busy once I got there & I was feeling a little discombobulated, too.  I forgot to bring one of the cut back coupon book coupons (for the Colgate) & with the busy-ness, I wasn't in the mood to go get another book from customer service.  I also forgot to get a rain check for the Ball Park Franks (which were already sold out).  Maybe I'll get a chance to get both of those deals on Wednesday of this next week, though.  We'll see.

For these deals and more available at Copps this week, see my earlier post:  Copps Deals Week of 5/12/11 - 5/18/11!

I did this trip in one little transaction:
4-Red Gold Tomatoes, $0.75 each
+ used $1/4 coupon, doubled
= $0.25 each!

1-Roundy's Eggs, 1 dozen, $0.88 (limit 1)
= $0.88

1-Morning Star Farms Chicken Patties, 4 ct., $3.01 (at 30% off)
+ used $1/1 coupon, doubled
= $1.01

2-Ken's Dressing, $2.00 each
+ used two $1/1 coupons, doubled
= FREE!

1-Skippy Natural Peanut Butter, 15 oz., $0.98
+ used cut back coupon book coupon to get sale price
= $0.98

1-Gain Laundry Detergent, $4.99
+ used $1/1 coupon, doubled
= $2.99

~ used Rolling Gift Card Idea: purchased a $25 Copps gift card to be sure my coupons would double & also used a $25 Copps gift card from a prior trip to zero this cost out.

Total Spent: $7.08 to subtract from my $200/mo. grocery budget
Total Saved: $21.05 (75% OFF!)

  1. Must be a weird kind of day...

I messed up today at Copps. For some reason I thought it was a double, double day so I checked out with 10 coupons but only 5 doubled. Afterwards I was looking at my receipt and found that there was a pricing error on one product, and the cashier hadn't even scanned 2 of my coupons.

I went to customer service and got money back on the over-charge, and for the coupons that weren't scanned... but I was too chicken to return the items I bought where the coupon wasn't doubled.

I learned an expensive lesson to pay better attention.

  2. Oh, sorry to hear that Nickeletta. I agree, re: the weird kind of day. If it makes you feel any better, I forgot to add to today's Kwik Trip post that I almost walked out of the store without my bag of groceries! Geesh! Glad the cashier flagged me down with a "Maamm?..." How embarrassing! Silly day...
