I have a dumb question. How do you do the math to figure out the percentage of savings. For example my last copps trip was a total of 65 dollars I spent 40 OOP and saved 25 so what percent savings is that? And what is the equation. Thank you !
ReplyDeleteHi Lindsey! Great question!
ReplyDeleteYou just take the $ amount you saved and divide it by the total $ amount, then multiply by 100. In your example above, it would be $25 (saved) divided by $65 (total) = .38 x 100 = 38% OFF.
In my example above, I did this:
$17.49 spent + $42.09 saved = $59.58 total
$42.09 saved divided by $59.58 total = 0.71 x 100 = 71% OFF.
I hope this helps! :-)
perfect! thanks so much! usually i am pretty good with math but i just couldn't figure it out!! thanks!
