OHMYGOD. i went to do that tylenol thing and the lady at the walgreens was a ...... and she said i'm not even going to ring this up because you can't use both coupons for this tylenol. she was so mean so i gave up and left :(
ReplyDeleteOh, so sorry to hear that! You absolutely can use both coupons together (one is a store coupon and the other is a manufacturer's coupon)! I'd suggest trying a different store or different cashier (& ask to speak to the manager if they give you any trouble). Hand the cashier the manufacturer's coupon before the Walgreens Instant Value (store) coupon in order to avoid any beeps. You will need to have another item in the transaction (otherwise the total transaction would be -$0.01).

ReplyDeletewow. she was a jerk then. i can't remember where i printed the tylenol ones off from? do you know??
ReplyDeletewhich walgreens did you go to?
ReplyDeleteall the tylenol precise at the walgreens that I went to were 8.49... :(
I'd like to know which area would have them at 7.99 too :) Thanks!
It seems it's not all that uncommon for some cashiers (& even managers) to be confused about this.
ReplyDeleteIn this type of situation, it's always best (as a couponer), to be as professional and polite as possible as we stand our ground. Many couponers bring store coupon policies (and/or in this case examples of the ads such as seen on Wild for Wags ) along to help educate those who are still a little confused.
I saw the Tylenol precise at $7.99 in two Walgreens stores in Sun Prairie, WI. Sometimes the shelf price hasn't been updated. In this case, just ask a cashier to scan the product for a "price check" to see if it's actually at the price you're expecting.
